The Notre Dame Honor Lou Holtz Hoodie 2026 is inspired by the memorial decal that Fighting Irish announced on September 2, 2026, and placed on the legendary gold helmets throughout the season, six months after Coach Lou Holtz passed away on March 4, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 89.

Holtz led Notre Dame from 1986 to 1996 with a record of 100-30-2, highlighted by the 1988 national championship with a perfect 12-0 season, including the historic victory over Miami in the legendary Catholics vs. Convicts game, ending the Hurricanes’ 36-game unbeaten streak.
