John Cheech Garrett Forever A Canuck Hoodie – A Tribute to “Cheech”

The John Cheech Garrett Forever A Canuck Hoodie arrives at a time when the Canucks community is still mourning the man who was part of the team for more than four decades. Garrett played goalie for the Canucks and other clubs from 1979 to 1985, and he passed away suddenly last April at the age of 74. Before the October 20, 2026 game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Canucks players and coaches wore memorial T-shirts printed with Garrett’s signature mustache and headset just before the game. It was a simple gesture, but it left the crowd silent and visibly moved.

The front recreates that moment: the broadcaster’s familiar headset and iconic mustache, with the words “Forever a Canuck” beneath them, the same message that appeared on the big screen that night. The back features a retro goalie mask with CANUCKS across it, along with his signature and jersey number, a reminder of the years he spent guarding the net before stepping into the broadcast booth. The sleeves carry the classic Canucks logo and a “JG” badge, completing a design that feels both nostalgic and dignified.
