2026 Texas A&M Ol’ Sarge Shirt – The Sergeant Who Never Retired

Ol’ Sarge isn’t Texas A&M’s current mascot — that title belongs to Reveille. But ask any Aggie who’s been through the Corps of Cadets, and they’ll tell you that square-jawed, chest-out sergeant is the true soul of the Old Army. Born in 1938 under the pen of Pete Tumlinson ’42 in the Battalion Humor Magazine, Ol’ Sarge started out simply as a comic character named Magarkin who tormented new recruits. Nearly 90 years later, he’s still standing — and on the Texas A&M Ol’ Sarge American Flag Shirt 2026, he stands holding the American flag.

The shirt features a single-color vintage style on the traditional maroon base — Ol’ Sarge is redrawn in a retro version faithful to the original 1940s art, one hand raising the American flag high, the other giving a “Gig ’em” thumbs up.
